RECOVERY COACHING

RECOVERY COACHING

Please note:

RISE Mental Health Collective is currently at capacity and will be unable to take on new client referrals for the time being. We thank you for your patience and will update our website and socials when we have the ability to take on new clients.

  • Psychosocial Recovery Coaches are skilled mental health professionals who walk with you throughout your Mental Health journey.

We support you by helping you to identify your goals, create a plan and work towards reaching them.

While we're doing this, we're also ensuring that you're able to create, build and implement skills to help you work with your mental health and address your needs in a healthy, supported way.

Think of us as your own personal cheer squad!

  • No two Recovery Coaches will ever be the same. We each have different backgrounds, experiences and we love to talk about lived and learned experience as a big factor in what sets us apart.

All of our Recovery Coaches and Mentors at RISE have lived experience of mental illness, as well as learned experience. That means that we actually understand how it is to live life with mental illness. So we definitely get it.

We then make sure we back these skills up with our learned experience, whether that be degrees, diplomas or certificate level study.

Here at RISE we celebrate being different. We embrace who we are and encourage our coaches, mentors and clients to SHINE!

  • A lot of the NDIS is a looooot of wishy washy talk and it can be hard to find what services are actually FOR.

Recovery Coaches currently work in a dual capacity. The best way to describe it, is that a Recovery Coach bridges the gap between a Support Coordinator and a Mentor.

We can coordinate supports and connect you with services, just like a Support Coordinator can. This can be helpful if you need support finding a service to suit you, ensuring that you're maximising your NDIS funding or needing help to change something in your plan.

We also provide that really intensive, goal-oriented, mental health informed coaching to assist you to build a life you're proud of. That can look different for each person depending on their goals.

We usually see our clients once a week to once a fortnight at a minimum and work hard to create a support network around them that includes their friends, family and therapeutical care team.

  • Recovery Coaching is a fairly new role within the NDIS. In order to be able to use a Recovery Coach, you'll need the following:

    • A current NDIS plan

    • Usually a diagnosis of a Psychosocial Disability

    • Psychosocial Recovery Coaching Funding (You can use a Recovery Coach if you have Level 2 Support Coordination funding OR Psychosocial Recovery Coach Funding, as long as it's not listed as a stated support in your plan)
